Breast Lift
A woman’s breasts often change over time due to aging, gravity, heredity, pregnancy, breast-feeding and/or weight fluctuations. These changes can cause the breasts to lose their youthful shape, firmness and elasticity.
Breast Lift, or Mastopexy, surgery is designed to elevate and reshape breasts that have sagged or lost their shape and volume. Several techniques can be used depending on the degree of sagging. Surgery consists of removing excess skin from around the areola, and possibly also from the bottom of the breast and breast fold, and tightening the surrounding skin to re-shape and support the breast as well as elevate the nipple and aerola to its original position. During this procedure, the size of the aerola(the darker skin surrounding the nipple) can be reduced if neede. Breast Lift surgery can also correct unevenness or asymmetry (when one breast is larger or lower than the other), and pendulous breasts (elongated, flattened breasts).
A breast lift can be performed alone, or in conjunction with breast augmentation (implants) or reduction surgery (removal of excess breast issue), if needed. During your consultation with Dr. Lorenc, he can determine which of these procedures would be best to give you the result you are looking for.
