Gynecomastia Surgery – Male Breast Reduction
Estimates are that 65% of all adolescent males and anywhere from 7 to 10% of post-pubescent males display gynecomastia. Yet it’s a condition so embarrassing that it’s rarely discussed.
Are you one of these statistics? Are you a male who feels self-conscious about breasts that seem flabby, enlarged, or over-developed? Perhaps you’ve assumed that dieting and exercise would give you a flatter, firmer, more "manly" chest, and maybe you’ve tried these methods. But, Dr. Lorenc counsels his clients, these methods can never solve the condition because frequently you have excess fat and glandular tissue contained within the breasts. And no one really knows why this occurs. However, there is a solution that Dr. Lorenc would propose – one that effectively corrects this rather common condition and results in a permanent and significant change – breast reduction through ultrasound-assisted lipoplasty.
The technique Dr. Lorenc opts to use for this procedure – ultrasound-assisted lipoplasty – is his preferred one because it results in a much more efficient removal of both fat and breast tissue from the patient, as compared to standard suction lipectomy. After intravenous sedation has been administered, Dr. Lorenc internally delivers ultrasonic energy via an incision in a natural crease, making the resulting scar virtually imperceptible.
Next, Dr. Lorenc inserts a tiny surgical instrument that was especially developed for these types of procedures, called a cannula. This is a slim, hollow tube whose opposite end is attached to a vacuum pump. With deliberate, carefully-controlled movements of the cannula, Dr. Lorenc evacuates the excess fatty and glandular tissue. His experience in the breast reduction procedure allows him to literally sculpt living tissue and create a more masculine chest contour. The incisions are then closed with absorbable sutures.
Once the procedure is completed, a compression garment will be fitted around your chest. This will help to minimize any swelling and to train your skin to "fit" your new chest proportions. Most probably, Dr. Lorenc will instruct you to wear this garment for two weeks, and will advise you that it may be three months or more before the final results of this breast reduction procedure are apparent.
In the meantime, you should resume activities and exercise on a gradual basis. Dr. Lorenc will suggest you walk around a bit later on the day of your surgery and will encourage you to return to work when you’re feeling up to it – usually in two or three days. Regular exercise can be resumed after about three weeks, but you should refrain from any sports or activities that might risk a blow to the chest for at least four weeks.
Think about it. For how many years have you endured the embarrassment? At the gym, on the beach, during sports or while engaged in more intimate activities. And, now that you know who can alleviate the condition and how effectively he can do it, the solution is only a phone call away.
