Nasal Surgery / Rhinoplasty

Nasal Surgery and Rhinoplasty
With its position in the center of the face, the nose in many ways ties all other facial features together. For this reason, Dr. Lorenc believes it is very important not to second-guess genetics and create a new nose, but enhance and reshape the nose you already have in order to highlight the harmony among all of your features, both when relaxed and during expression.

Upon consultation, Dr. Lorenc will review your concerns and expectations, and then discuss what steps and techniques he will use in your unique nasal re-structuring surgery. While you are making a decision about nasal surgery, Dr. Lorenc may suggest additional facial procedures to enhance the overall outcome of your surgery, such as a chin augmentation.

When Should I Get Nasal Surgery?

Are you unhappy with the size and shape of your nose? Your profile? Do you desire to repair nasal damage caused by an injury or correct breathing difficulties? Nasal surgery or rhinoplasty is the procedure of choice to resolve these concerns.

What To Expect During Surgery:

During the surgery, Dr. Lorenc makes incisions inside the nose, where they are invisible, as he sculpts skin and tissue along with bone and cartilage into your desired new shape. Although the change in your appearance will be immediate and dramatic, the final result may not be realized for several months. In fact, family and friends may say they don’t see a major difference in your appearance, which to Dr. Lorenc is actually the goal of a successful rhinoplasty.

SPECIAL NOTE: When rhinoplasty is performed for cosmetic purposes, it is usually not covered by health insurance. However, when nose surgery is performed to correct nasal problems that interfere with breathing, health coverage may apply. It is advisable to check with your insurance provider for information about the extent of this coverage.
