Surgery After Weight Loss

After major weight loss and/or bariatric surrgery for weight loss, it is common to have excess, sagging skin. Common areas of concern include the hips, buttocks and thighs as well as the breasts, arms, abdomen and flanks. In most cases, the only solution to this problem is to remove the excess skin through excisional surgery, along with liposuction and laser skin tightening.

During your consultation with Dr. Lorenc, he will determine which surgical procedures are appropriate to meet your goals. This could be one, or a combination, of the following procedures:

Lower Body Lift – to address sagging skin in the abdomen, buttocks, groin and outer thighs
Breast Lift – to address sagging and flattening of the breasts
Neck Lift – to address sagging loose skin on the chin and neck, referred to as “turkey neck”
Arm Lift – to address loose, sagging skin of the upper arms
Thigh Lift – to address sagging of the inner, outer and mid thighs
Laser Lypolysis – to remove isolated pockets of fat and improve contours; to contract skin
Skin Tyte Laser – (after recovery) to further smooth and tighten skin on the face and body

Dr. Lorenc makes every effort to minimize scarring from excisional surgery, but some scarring should be expected as a natural consequence of surgical procedures. Incision length and pattern very based on the location and amount of excess skin to be removed. During your consultation with Dr. Lorenc, your surgical plan will be developed based on your individual needs and goals
