Arm Lift Surgery in NYC

What is Brachioplasty (Arm Lift)?

For individuals with excess skin in the upper arm, brachioplasty – or an arm lift – is an option to consider. For patients with extremely loose skin in the lower inner arm near the armpit, a hidden arm lift, may be the best option. This is also called a limited-incision brachioplasty.

Who is an Ideal Candidate?

You may be a good candidate for an arm lift if you have excess skin around your arm. If you have residual fat in the upper arm that has not responded to diet and exercise. Contact Dr. Lorenc to find out if you are a good candidate for an arm lift.

The Procedure

The surgeon shall make an incision in the armpit that may go down to the elbow. If needed he shall remove any excess fat. He then tightens and reshapes the underlying tissue, removing the excess skin in the process.

Recovery Process

Immediately following the surgery, patients may experience bruising, swelling and discomfort. The doctor shall  prescribe the use of compression garment or sleeve to help with recovery. Most patients can resume regular physical activity one week after surgery.
