Many of our patients turn back the hands of time with proven injectible solutions like Botox and dermal fillers. The variety of products used in our office achieve outstanding results that last for months at a time, sometimes for more than a year. Part of obtaining a more youthful aesthetic is to collaborate with an experienced clinician on the desired outcome. Another aspect of youthfulness is how you manage your skin in between wrinkle-reducing treatments.
Tips for Optimal Beauty
- Wash your face on a nightly basis using gentle products that will remove every last stitch of makeup. We know, you’re tired at bedtime and just want to hop under the blankets. However, the makeup that sits on your skin overnight can block your pores and cause irritation or, worse, an acne breakout. While such concerns will not affect your anti-aging routine, they certainly affect the way you feel about your appearance.
- Exfoliation is a necessity for every person who wants to reveal an inner glow. There is no need to scrub your skin or apply harsh chemicals in order to remove dead and damaged cells from the surface. You can exfoliate with gentle motion while under the warm water in your shower. Weekly exfoliation encourages collagen production, which supports youthful skin.
- Proper moisture is vital to skin health. You may wish to use an SPF moisturizer during the day, and a special moisturizing product at night to address concerns such as under eye circles or dryness. If you have questions about the right products for your needs, we are happy to assist you!
- Stay hydrated from the inside out. The body is mostly water, and needs water to function at optimal levels. Research shows that most people are chronically dehydrated, which will show on the skin. Aim to drink at least 8 full glasses of water a day, or approximately 64 ounces.
