What is a Thigh Lift?

A thigh lift (thighplasty) is often the most appropriate solution to tighten excess skin in the thigh region.  This is specifically when the outer and/or inner thigh region has begun to sag from age or from massive weight loss.  It is an Inpatient procedure that requires IV sedation, typically yielding permanent results.

Thigh Lift NYC

Am I a good candidate for a Thighplasty?

Dr. Lorenc considers ideal candidates for this procedure to be patients who have undergone dramatic weight loss.  Weight loss can be either through diet and exercise or bariatric surgery and have achieved their optimum weight loss goals. A Thigh Lift can address excess, sagging skin resulting from aging, pregnancy, or significant weight loss.

Can a Thigh Lift be performed with other procedures?

In addition, laser liposuction compliments thigh lift surgery to contour the hip and inner and outer thigh regions.

What can I expect during the procedure?

The surgeon shall make small incisions at the hip or behind the knee & remove extra skin and/or fat while also smoothing out cellulite.

What is the recovery process?

Absorbable sutures will dissolve in one to two weeks. Swelling will subside in four to six weeks. The patient should avoid strenuous activity and any lifting until Dr. Lorenc gives clearance.
